TEACHER GRANTS AND RESOURCES
The Lion’s Share Program is a grant program funded by the Long Lots PTA that enables LLS teachers and administrators to implement new ways to enhance understanding, facilitate retention, enrich the curriculum, and bring new ideas into the school. The funds are to be for non-existing projects that the current school budget cannot support and that will benefit the school as a whole.
Past projects have included microscopes, a grand piano for the auditorium, interactive puppets for the language department, SPED grants, books on diversity for the library, and Singapore Math counting aids and manipulatives. It is important to note that all grants are encouraged and considered regardless of how small.
Grant forms are available in the PTA bin in the office. Be sure to fill in all the requested information before submitting it to Principal Debra Dunn for review. Following Dr. Dunn's approval, leave your completed application in a labeled envelope in the PTA bin and email the PTA presidents Maria Mulvehill and Elsa Morgan (firstname.lastname@example.org) to notify them of your application.
Be sure and keep a copy of the completed application for yourself. The application process takes at least 30 days, as the PTA Executive Committee reviews the grants at their monthly meeting throughout the school year, so please plan accordingly. If you have any questions, please contact Maria or Elsa!
