Dear Long Lots Families,

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with rest, relaxation, and fun!  I was fortunate to enjoy time away with my family in Bar Harbor, Maine.  We spent our days hiking, biking, and kayaking while taking in the fresh air and beautiful scenery. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and I embraced the opportunity to be fully present and recharge for the upcoming year.

We have many new families to welcome to Long Lots for the 2021-2022 school year.  We will have approximately 145 new faces in grades K-5 next year!  Please join me in extending a warm welcome to all of our new students and families at Long Lots.

We are also excited to welcome many new staff members to the Long Lots community. This year we have a new administrative team at Long Lots, with the addition of  Mrs. Vicki Fielosh, Special Education Assistant Principal and Mrs. Erin Marschner,  Assistant Principal.  Please welcome Erica Bolla to our Kindergarten teaching team.  Mary Kate Randall and Deb Meade are joining Long Lots as our new speech and language pathologists.  Mr. Patrick Harris is joining us as a long-term substitute teacher for General Music while Mrs. Jacqueline Sugrue-Tait is on maternity leave.  Miss Emily Chacho will be our building intern and student teacher from Sacred Heart University.  Ms. April Holeva and Ms. Katherine McGurk will be joining us as paraprofessionals.

Paula Soto is our new PTA Co-President.  She joins Elsa Morgan as our other PTA Co-President.  I cannot thank our PTA enough for their ongoing support and commitment to the students, staff, and families of Long Lots!

Supplies:
Those students who ordered SchoolKidz school supply kits will receive them at Meet Your Teacher Day.  If you did not order a SchoolKidz kit you can purchase supplies from this list and have your child bring them to school.

School Lunches:
Students will be able to purchase lunch at school this year, and will have access to lunch choices.  It is important to set up a MySchoolBucks account for the debit system.  More information about My School Bucks can be found at this link: My School Bucks letter

Some families may benefit from accommodations for Free & Reduced Lunch and we have a procedure in place to assist these families.  We have included a link here should your family be interested in this information.  A new application will need to be completed if you are interested in this opportunity.
