Fifth-grade students at LLS recently learned about fruits from Colombia. As part of the unit, they participated in a juice tasting featuring fruits that are an important part of the country’s cultural heritage: guanábana (soursop), maracuyá (passion fruit), and guayaba (guava). During the tasting, students described each juice in Spanish and shared their opinions on the fruits' characteristics, including taste, texture, and color.
Long Lots students demonstrated school spirit and civic pride by participating in a school-wide vote to choose the next spirit day theme. Sports Day came out on top and was celebrated on November 24th.
